The Summer Intensive is the trademark Broadway Dreams initiative — a weeklong program of strenuous professional training, with sessions in major metropolitan areas. Throughout the week, the international student pool employs the classroom to prepare for a formal showcase in which they perform alongside celebrated talents for an exclusive audience of industry professionals. Intensives are available in Acting for Stage and Film or Musical Theatre, with a focus on acting, vocal performance, and dance.

In addition to technical skills training with Broadway’s finest, students are empowered with leadership and teamwork building skills that are applicable to a life in and outside of the performing arts, and their respective confidence levels are enhanced by a strong sense of community — the impact of which extends far beyond the week.

Over the past decade, dreamers have gone from the classroom to the professional stage, making their critically acclaimed debuts in major productions, including: After Midnight; Beautiful: The Carole King Musical; The Book of Mormon; The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess; Hamilton; If/Then; and Spring Awakening.

The Broadway Dreams faculty opened up the minds of these young performers and allowed them a glimpse of their potential, not just as performers but also as human beings.

Masterclasses and Triple Threat Extremes are short immersive experiences offered year-round that sharpen skills and emphasize core values learned through the Summer Intensive.
