Founded in 2007, Broadway Dreams is a non-profit arts education organization and one of the leading pre-professional musical theater training programs in the world. Broadway Dreams’s uniquely immersive, mentorship-driven training model was designed to create a bridge between the professional Broadway community and the next generation of theatre artists. The Broadway Dreams community of faculty and teaching artists is comprised of working Broadway professionals, bringing not only the most current and relevant techniques in voice, acting, and dance, but insight and guidance into the nuanced realities of pursuing a career in entertainment. To date, hundreds of current and former Dreamers have made their debut on Broadway, national tours, and major film and television projects. Through year-round programming in cities across the United States and internationally, Broadway Dreams seeks not only to administer top quality multidisciplinary skills training with distinguished faculty, but to create lifelong relationships and community among the Broadway artists of tomorrow. 

Our trademark summer program,  The Weeklong Intensive challenges students to push through the limits of their skills and training, culminating in a theatrical showcase performance written and choreographed by our faculty of elite Broadway professionals. During a week of classes taught by working actors, directors and choreographers, students prepare for the showcase by participating in strenuous rehearsals and masterclasses with featured Broadway talents. At the showcase, students perform with their instructors in front of an audience of friends, family and invited industry professionals.

Our intensive program introduces students to professional entertainment standards, beginning with vocal auditions and a company-wide dance call that allows our faculty to cast students in a mix of Broadway and popular musical numbers. Through the week, and in addition to extensive work on their technical singing, dancing and acting skills, students also participate in leadership and team building exercises that help prepare them for a life in the performing arts. Broadway Dreams fosters relationships with faculty members and other aspiring performers that last long beyond the weeklong program. 

Our Weeklong Intensives are offered in major cities throughout the world. New students must submit an audition prior to registration—please see the registration page for further details. Tuition varies by location. At the end of each summer, select group of students may be asked to participate in our New York Showcase, a special performance for theatrical agents, casting directors, producers and other industry professionals.

Broadway Dreams believes that it is never too early or too late to start dreaming. Our programs are therefore open to applicants of all ages. More important is a comfort and willingness to work alongside professionals at a fast pace, a willingness and ability to learn quickly, and a collaborative and joyful approach to the arts. Prior experience in at least one artistic discipline relating to musical theater is recommended.

Registration can be initiated on our  Programs Page. Registration can be completed online, but a pre-taped video audition (32-bar song) must be uploaded at the time of registration in order for registration to be considered complete. An email confirming acceptance will be sent within 5-10 days. 

Full and partial need-based scholarships for all programs are available, and require a seperate application within our registration portal. Necessary documentation includes resume, demonstration of financial need, personal statements, and letters of recommendation.
